I design and make each custom order just for you. This means:
- Custom orders range from 8 to 12 weeks depending on the complexity of the order and when I receive it.
- I order yarns specifically for each custom order. This can result in higher costs for materials and set up time. However, I work with you to minimize the extra costs by designing within flexible color parameters. I love what I do and I want to share this experience with my clientele.
To begin this journey, select a comparable piece on the website. You are not limited to the colors here. At this stage, you are selecting the weave pattern and item that you like. Contact me to begin this exciting process.
After we make contact, I design your fabric based upon the colors and pattern that you selected. Then I mail a packet with several options to review. The packet includes recommended yarns, a sample warp card like this, and printed patterns which we discuss via conference call. Once you determine a fabric swatch and color, I provide a final quote. At this point, I require a 50% non-refundable deposit to order materials.
It takes two to three weeks (after your deposit is received) before materials arrive at my studio. However, you are still advancing in the production queue. Once all the materials arrive, I wind each yarn onto a spool and then thread them onto the loom in order to create the (vertical) warp.
I’ll send a photo like this one that shows how the complete warp resembles the samples that I originally sent.
Then I begin weaving with the (horizontal) fill yarn to make your fabric. I inform you of the exciting progress so you can anticipate the delivery.
Once completed, the balance is due prior to shipping. Working together throughout the design and selection process ensures there are no surprises.
I ship anywhere in the continental United States free of charge! This is a benefit usually offered by bigger brands but I love free shipping when I shop and want to share this experience with you. And all shipments are carbon- neutral!
You may pay the difference between the standard rate and expedited shipping if you want your product sooner.
It is unlikely there will be a problem with the final product, but I want my clients to be happy with their purchase and always do my best to ensure a positive outcome. If necessary, I can issue a full credit toward any item in stock after I receive your original item back in the same condition as when I shipped it.
